The Bagel Station opened in 1990 to serve the needs of a community seeking an authentic scratch made "New York style bagel"--a process of boiling the dough before baking. The independent store was the result of several years of planning and study by the original owners to provide a high quality experience in both taste and service for the discriminating bagel lover. The Bagel Station is open 7 days a week and has two locations: 1977 Peace Haven Road at the Whittaker Square Shopping Center (open 6:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.) and the original location at 129 Oakwood Drive (6:00 a.m. - 2 p.m.). Both have received countless 4 and 5-star reviews both online and in-store. The Bagel Station has many times been included in the "Best of Winston Salem". Customers are not shy about expressing how long they've been coming to us and how much they enjoy our baked goods and our service. Today, The Bagel Station bakery and cafe continues to serve both commuters, neighbors and students alike with a wide variety of bagel sandwiches and other delicious breakfast and lunch creations. The menu offers seasonal items and catering is offered year round.
