Pfaff's, Inc was founded by Sam Pfaff in 1913, the year Winston and Salem merged to become The Twin Cities. Glass and Glazing was the primary business of Pfaffs, working with the downtown manufacturers such as R.J. Reynolds and Hanes Hosiery and on community projects of schools, churches and businesses. After WWII, sons, Carl and Fred joined the business and Pfaff's embarked on what would be its journey to its present structure. Pfaff's added paint and wallpaper to its product lines and expanded its Glass sales to Retail and Residential Service. Pfaff's currently has sales areas in Retail Paint and Glass and provides both Contract and Residential Painting and serves the Piedmont Triad with Glass Service work and Contract Glazing.
