The North Carolina Biotechnology Center is a life science economic development organization that helps bring ideas to market, grows North Carolina's cluster of life science companies to meet industry needs, and provides custom market research. The organization provides grants, loans and connectivity to support innovation and job growth. The Piedmont Triad office was the first established in the state and located in Winston-Salem with Nancy Johnston serving as it regional Executive Director.
